Very good app but sadly a very annoying advertising appears regularly about the other app (katakana). When you already have (or not) its very irritating ! Theres also no possibility to shut off the sound : even with no volume theres a beep ! For both reasons 1 to 2 stars less... To be updated ?

I learnt hiragana in 2 hours thanks to this apps. Very easy to learn and remember symbols. Quizz mode is really good as well.

This really can make you learn the basic hiragana in only 1 hour (or even less!). It really helps on that. The only reason it does not receive a full 5 star rating is because this app is deficient with the modified hiragana.

Ive been trying to pick up hiragana without luck for some time. This app is hilarious and educational. My son and I "played" the quizzes for over an hour without realizing it. In that hour we both learned 100% of the symbols. Top drawer app.

This is a great app for learning hiragana. Admittedly it does look a bit childish but the memory tricks they use have taught me almost the entire set in one night. Highly recommended for fast fun learning.

The methodology they use to learn the hiragana characters isgreat but its missing some, such as gi, ji, pu, ge, gyu, byo etc...it only has the main monographs. It would be a top app if it included these but only includes 46. There is also room for improvement in their examples by using the sounds of the characters rather than the visual. Since "ru" sounds like "lu" when spoken I wish they would use phrases and pictures to match that, rather than match the visual e.g. "ru Russian rubies" instead they could use "ru Lucy Liu". I hope they add the rest of the characters to this app!

I find this app a great resource for learning basic hiragana, but I gave this a 3 because it gets annoying when youre in the middle of taking a quiz and it takes you to an ad for your other app about katakana and then you have to restart again. But Otherwise its a great app.

An awesome app for the basic 46 Hiragana characters. No explanation for functional marks or diacritics, however, so you will need to go elsewhere for these.

I used this app for less than an hour and a half, and I can already get 100% on the first 46 characters. Super helpful and makes sense. Would happily recommend this app to a friend. Worth the $5.

This app makes learning Hiragana VERY easy and quick. The pictures are fun and simple, and they really do stick in your head after practicing the quizzes a few times. I have no regrets from buying this app :)

Learned this alphabet —as well as Kata — in 30 minutes TOPS. Very straight forward and extremely helpful!!!! THE best Japanese alphabet app you will find. Completely worth the fee.

I like the helpful pictures that they added to the characters. It makes them much easier to remember because you now can use mnemonics to remember that character. Im sold.

I have used this app, I dont think it worth more than5 dollars. Only have some very simple and useless sentences. Some cartoon character seems to be helpful in remembering the word but not much. Im expecting more sentences, but they try to get you buy more of their products.

If you are serious about learning the Japanese language and not just a few sentences then learning the alphabets are key. This app makes memorizing the alphabets fast and easy.

Unfortunately there is no option to disable sound. Unable to listen music and take a quiz at same time

The mnemonic part actually works and its fun, but an extremely annoying ad for the katakana app from the same author keeps popping up randomly interrupting you. For this reason I will never buy anything again from them.
